The 7th Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche (1965 — ) is acknowledged as one of the foremost Tibetan Buddhist scholars and meditation masters of his generation. Fluent in English and well-versed in Western culture and technology, he is known for his sharp intellect, humor and the lucidity of his teachings. He is an accomplished calligrapher and poet — his art awakens the heart and opens the mind. Founder of Nalandabodhi and the Nitartha Institute, he has also been instrumental in creating the Buddhist magazine Bodhi. He resides in Seattle, Washington, and travels extensively teaching the dharma.
