Kuan Yin on Lotus Petal [Z00744]
Legend has it that Hui Erh, a sixth-century Japanese monk, stole a Kuan Yin statue from China. On his way back to Japan, however, the boat wouldn't move beyond the island of Potala. Hui Erh presented the statue to the islanders, who subsequently built numerous temples in honor of their Bodhisattva of Mercy.
Now the gorgeous Kuan Yin can ride the waves at royal ease on your own shrine - or anywhere you want her to radiate the power of her compassion. This is an especially lovely gift for someone in particular need of spaciousness and kindness over this holiday season.
