Heart Sutra Scroll

The Heart Sutra, or the Sutra of Transcendent Knowlege, is one of the most famous of Buddhist texts. The full sutra is calligraphed here in gold. A beautiful representation of the heart of enlightenment.

The mantra for this sutra is Om gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha. The Dalai Lama translates this as "Go, go, go beyond, go thoroughly beyond, and establish yourself in enlightenment."
