White Tara is often referred to as the "Mother of all the Buddhas". She is white in color, symbolizing purity; she is the embodiment of compassion and is associated with longevity and healing. She holds her right hand in the wish-fulfilling mudra; her left hand is in the mudra of protection, and she holds a lotus.
